C. Suzette Ellis-Hoyle grew up in Decatur, Georgia. She was admitted to the Georgia Bar in 1986. She was also admitted to the practice of law in New York in 1990. Ms. Ellis-Hoyle received her B.A. degree in psychology from Emory University in 1983. She received her Juris Doctor (J.D.) Degree from Tulane Law School in 1986.
Ms. Ellis-Hoyle is a member of the DeKalb County and Atlanta Bar Associations , Family Law Section and Workers’ Compensation Law Section; State Bar of Georgia; Georgia Trial Lawyers Association and the New York State Bar.
Ms. Ellis-Hoyle was honored with an “AV” rating award through peer review by Martindale-Hubbell in 1996, and has maintained that professional rating for the past fifteen years. The “AV” rating indicates that Ms. Ellis-Hoyle’s peers report that she is of the highest level of legal ability and ethics. Only five percent of women lawyers in the United States are fortunate to be afforded a Martindale-Hubbell “AV” rating.
